Joshua: Well we’re tyring we’re slowly buying some furniture to furnish the house.
David: Oh no I’m impressed.
Joshua: We’ve been here like for 6 months.
Tony: We bought it out of foreclosure.
David: So you guys took it over and have been reviewing the place ever since.
David: It looks beautiful. Charming and adorable.
Joshua: We can’t wait for your hands to get on it.
David: What am I doing which room?
Joshua: You’re doing a lot.
Tony: A whole lot something doesn’t it.
Joshua: Well it’s something that’s for sure.
David: I wouldn’t even call it a blank slate I would call it a pretty rough slate.
Tony: A very rough slate. Yeah.
David: So do you guys have any floors done before we get here.
Tony: We are.
David: What is this room used for?
Tony: This will be our family room?
David: So favorite colors that you see done here. That’s a lot of gray and white which is just really.
Joshua: We’re really neutral but we like a pop of color and we don’t know what that pop is.
Tony: And then the kind of design concept that we were going for you know inspiration wise was like a living room on a Yacht.
David: You have it comfortable and there’s some nice textures and materials that make you want to sit down and take your shoes off.
David: One thing that this basement absolutely lacks is architecture, but we can add some of our own. Another architectural detail that you find in yachts is architectural molding on the ceiling. We paint the inside of the box a nice like gray or a white. This is our first yacht inspired room and I would start do it it’s going to be uberfantastic and I was like to take those beams on a tad and make them really cool.
Tony: It’s over.
Joshua: I can’t believe it. I cannot believe it’s here.
David: Come ready.
Tony: Oh my god
Joshua: This is not our space. This is so freaking sheek.
Oh my god I need sort of a high kick yes.
David: I got these chairs for you because you love traditional chairs. You mentioned wingback and these are kind of a little bit more modern and they’re gorgeous leather.
We did the Navy blue walls, we did the navy blue feature wall over here in your office and we did that Navy blue feature wall over there and the living room and although it’s really dark.
Tony: It’s exactly what I wanted.
David: The gray structure that Ian and Danielle worked on brings a lot of elegance to the room. It takes it to that level of sophistication but I think that you were looking forward the whole yacht club.
Tony: I could have never thought of this combination in any way shape or form and it blows me away.
Joshua: We got a dog now.
David: Sell the dog.
Joshua: Hey, I’m I want to walk it.
Tony: Drapes are perfect.
Joshua: They’re clean.
Tony: They’re breaking up a lot of the dark color that we have and the higher contrast that you go like you have with the dark blue and the white just makes it feel that much more sophisticated.
If I had seen these yellow pieces in the store I would have said, Tony that’s awful, I don’t know what you’re thinking but they look stunning in here. I mean they look incredible.
David: Just by doing that in such a serious color palette just makes it really fresh.
Joshua: You have to see some of the painting because I love them.
Joshua: Love them they’re so clean but it’s so bold and then you have that splash of yellow.
David: The great thing about a mirror table especially in a basement.
Tony: It opens the space up.
David: It reflects all the space that you have.
This comes as definitely an important piece especially in a place where you’re going to be watching TV and you’re going to be entertaining clients which is fantastic.
