FOX NEWS : “The card was sent from an Army base in Illinois on July 4, 1943. It just arrived in mint condition last week in Elmira, New York.” According to reporting from the Associated Press — the intended recipients were two sisters  — Pauline and Theresa Leisenring — whose brother George had been stationed at Camp Grant. The card was written by their parents who were visiting George in 1943. (VIDEO FROM KTTV ) But here it is in the hands of two OTHER sisters, who currently live in the home. The Press & Sun Bulletin reports Pauline and Theresa Leisenring died in 1962 and 1954, respectively. And according to The Bulletin, here’s part of what it said: “Dear Pauline and Theresa, We arrived safe, had a good trip, but we were good and tired. ... See you soon. Love Mother, Dad.” A spokesperson for the U.S. Postal Service says they have no idea where the card has been all this time, and The Press and Sun Bulletin reports, every once in awhile an old letter or postcard is found — and it’s possible someone found it and threw it in the mail.
