Working From Home Tips
Rhiannon: And we also hit the streets to ask people what they thought were the pro’s and con’s of working from home. Here’s what they had to say in today’s “He said, She said”.
So, what do you like about working from home?
Female1: I guess flexibility, I can do want I want, go where I want, I could work when I want.
Rhiannon: So, you’ve worked from home before. What were the pro’s?
Male1: That’s right. You can turn off the phone and have uninterrupted concentration for extended periods of time. You don’t have to work in one or two minute interval.
Rhiannon: What do you think the pros of working from home would be?
Female2: Well, I think certainly if you have a family at home. It would be nice to not have to worry about day care and be able to check in your family members.
Rhiannon: Is it hard to stay disciplined when you’re working at home?
Male2: No, not when you have a family and you’re focused. So, if you set your goals high and reach for the stars and get them all, you’ll do okay.
Female3: I think it’s much more efficient sort of work style where I can email and take calls but nobody’s really checking in, nobody’s staying on my shoulder and if you can be disciplined, you can actually get a ton done.
Audra: We can definitely try. It’s a good idea, I do it. Thanks a lot and you guys can pick Andrea’s book, it’s called the “Rev your Resume”. They have some great tips on finding a job in that book. You can find it at Amazon.com.
