A New Hampshire woman thought it was the perfect time of the year to enjoy the flowers outside her condo.

 

But apparently — Kimberly Bois’ condo association disagreed. 

 

“Four years ago she was given permission by the developer to plant the flowers, but last year the condo association ordered her to remove the plants. She hasn't and since October has been fined up to $50 a day plus legal fees.”

 

So just how offensive are these flowers?

Bois says the fines started piling up late last year — starting at $25 a day and recently increased to $50 a day. In late February, she says she got a notice there was a lien on her condo for the back fines. 

 

“[Her lawyer] said the Atlantic Pointe Condominium Association is asking a judge to order Bois to remove her plants and to restore her front yard to prior condition, which he described as ‘crap.’ The condo board is also demanding Bois pay for contractors approved by the board to do the work, he said.”

 

But again — Bois says she got permission from the developer before the condo association even existed. The Associated Press reports,

 

“The association’s lawyer said the grounds surrounding all of the condos are common area and controlled by the governing board. He says Bois was told the developer's permission was temporary and could be changed by a future governing board.”

 

Speaking to Seacoast Online — Bois called the debate “the stupidest thing” she’s ever encountered.
