You probably have an electrical panel in your home where all the circuit breakers are and that is really kind of what this box looks like, but it is not. It is not a circuit breaker or panel for your electricity.
This is for your computer wiring. If you are getting ready to build a new home or maybe do a large renovation of your home. You might want to consider a box like this and the reason why is, it allows you to bring back all of those internet wires that connect your different computers to one location and they connect together easily and efficiently so that you do not have a much of spaghetti behind one of the computers in your home.
What is really important with these particular boxes is that each of the places where your computers operate they have one separate wire that goes from that computer all the way back to this panel box. In that way it is not much different than a traditional circuit breaker panel and they connect up here to these different nodes inside this panel. This box also works for cable TV wires as well and it just becomes a central distribution point for all of the structured electronic wiring for your homes so that you have trouble-free computers.
Keep in mind that this is not to be confused with your regular electric panel where all your circuit breakers are on. You are not bringing high voltage wires into here. You are bringing your computer internet wires in, your cable TV. You can even bring in home audio system speaker wires into here so that it is basically a central distribution panel for all of the low voltage wires in your home.
This structured panels work great and they work in conjunction with wireless systems as well. But remember that the structured panels in the hard wires solutions is the data is faster typically and it is more secured.
But remember, I do like using my wireless laptop on my patio.
