Windows 7: Analyze Your Power Efficiency - Tekzilla Daily Tip
Welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Veronica Belmont. Have you ever wondered if your PC is hugging more power than it needs too? Well wonder no more because Windows 7 has a built-in tool to help you find out the answer. Run the command prompt as an administrator and type powercfg-energy. It will run for 60 seconds and then tell you the location of the results. Just navigate to the file and you can see if there are any issues with your power efficiency settings organized in three categories, errors, warnings, and information.
So if you're curious about where all your battery life is disappearing to check out Windows 7’s power efficiency diagnostics report. Now if you have a tip, hint or trick you’d like to share let us know. Email us at Tekzilla@revision3.com and as always Tekzilla.com is the place to find more tips, tricks, product reviews and how-to’s.
