One of the important things in consistent digital photography is white balance and I want to introduce the concept to the ExpoDisc. Something I used all the time to make sure that my white balance is consistent through the day in different blade.
And one of the facts just here especially working with window light. We’ve got a little tungsten light around this; lights coming it’s illuminated by just an open blue sky. So what I’m going to do is affix the ExpoDisc right to the front of my lamps, and I’m going too pointed toward the light, so it’s measuring the light falling on.
So I’m going to make an exposure. With that I’m going to go on to the back of camera into menu, and I’m going to pick custom white balance. Working with the Canon 1D Mark 11 it gives me just a very easy way of firing and creating a custom white balance, so I’m just simply selecting the image. It says me if I want to use this is a white tone I’m indicating yes and it set it for the white tone, so my white balance is now complete. And then if the images that I’m going to do will be here we’ll have a very consistent white balance.
