The drink I want to show you how to make now is called a Whiskey Sour. Now remember, any drink that is called a sour could be made with any type of liqueur. So we could have like vodka sours. We can have scotch sours. We can have brandy sours. However, the Whiskey Sour was one if not the original sour.
So what we are going to do is we are going to take our Boston mixing set, our tin cup with ice. What we are going to do is we are going to use whiskey, any type of whiskey is good. This is an American Whiskey. We are going to use one ounce, there we go one ounce of our whiskey. And then what we are to use is two ounces of our sour mix. Remember, this is a non-alcoholic mix. It is sour and it has got a little bit of sugar in. So it is really kind of a sweet sour mix, non-alcoholic, two ounces, there we go. And this particular drink could be served two ways.
Way number one would be straight up like in this tin cocktail glass but also today, a lot of people like to drink on the rocks. So if we are going to make it on the rocks, we will just use one of our short stable glasses. Fill it up with ice and then we are going to shake up our ingredients. Remember, anything that uses fruit juice in liqueur, you want to shake it to get everything to have a consistent flavor.
Put this over here. We are going to strain this right in there. There we go and what we are going to do is we are going to give them a little snack, a little fruit, nice sweet cheery. This is a maraschino cherry. It got a little hang around it and there we have it, our Whiskey Sour, the original sour.
