Michael Schade: Harmful chemicals have been found in many different types of cosmetics. Lead has been found in lipstick. Toluene has been found in nail polish. Phthalates have been found in fragrances and creams, hair dyes and another common cosmetic product that contains harmful chemicals. Unfortunately, most of these chemicals that we find in cosmetics are untested and unregulated and basically, women are acting as guinea pigs when they are putting these chemicals and materials on their bodies everyday for their entire lives. Especially younger women, teenage women whose bodies are still developing and they are more susceptible to the harmful effects of these chemicals.
