Kathleen: Hi this is Kathleen, and I am here today with Jane and Dianne of the Harmony House Marketplace in Cohoes, it is a wine shop that sells all New York State wines.
Can you tell us a little bit about what inspired you to open this wine shop?
Jane: Well, we decided we wanted to open a wine shop and we started taking course wherever we could and we went to community college and we went to candidate the wine and culinary center, anywhere we could get knowledge we did. And when we have free time, we started going on these field trips all over the state visiting wineries and it went quietly had this revelation, we did not have to worry about Chilean and Australian wines, we had enough here in New York State to stock a wine store.
So that was our inspiration [voice overlap]
Kathleen: And I am here tonight, I first came here tonight because there is a wine tasting of Goose [Muffled] winery and I noticed that it is very packed here. Can you tell a little bit about the wine tasting and how people can come out and taste New York State wine here?
Jane: Every Friday night, we offer a different wine when you come in and be featured, and you can get on our website and find out who is here or you can stop by and sign up for our mailing list and you will get blasted every week and let you know what is going on in Cohoes side, what is going on here..
Kathleen: Okay, can you tell us the address and other ways that they can contact you?
Dianne: Yes, sure. 184 Bremson Street, right after the express way 787 going north, it is two blocks after the express way, very close, convenient, we taste wine every Friday from four to seven until October 26 and that would be five to seven. And we feature of the first prize of what you are trying to get a wine master from the winery and that is represented that time.
