What You Can Do with Yoyo Crochet Patterns
I have the most amazing new project ever. If you would like that Catherine stitch wheels or the Catherine wheel stitch you are going to love yoyo crochet and I accidentally found this because I was lying down and like what well what I can do for another pattern and so I found this Christmas tree starts online and it says to yoyo crochet and I might what is that is so I Google it and I find yoyo crochet.
And so yoyo crochet is a consistent of wheels that look like when they’re by themselves it looks like a yoyo, great? So what can I use this for like I can see it in a Christmas tree pattern like this looks amazing. This is how it said. I’ve been like I wanted do an example for you so that you can actually see it and get excited like I get over it. This totally changes crochet for you.
So anyway so it shows change in the colors of the wheels just like so and the demonstrations that I found online and that’s what kind of interesting it’s and it makes the circles like really jump when they’re combined. Now yoyo crochet you have to make one circle by itself right and now on the next circle when you’re coming around you have to attach it to the next circle and then if you’re doing the third one you have to attach it to this circle and that circle so it’s like a mind game which you kind of get bored instead but this makes actually kind of think and count so I really, really like it.
So anyway this is a Christmas tree skirt that I’m working. This is going to be the center point of where the actual Christmas Tree is going to be and I have to come down this edge with burgundy yoyo’s all the way down across the bottom and I’ve got to finish the right across the bottom here so I go all the way burgundy and then down burgundy the other side again.
And there’s a good side of yoyo crochet and a bad side which is you work inside. So I’m going to show you how to do it. I have done demonstrations. I’ve taped them. I’m not sure if I’m really happy with them but what I’m going to do is and the reason why I’m struggling with the so much and I should cut it this even shorter is that when I’m working with this stuff actually have to put it on my lap because in order to one yoyo to fit it’s easier if it’s on a flat surface so I’m struggling with the camera angle in order to make it actually happen and I want you to see how I put it together because I have been trying to follow like this picture diagrams and so for example they don’t tell you what you do with a little hickey string that’s left over.
So, when I first started this partner come like how do the strings look like hell and then I figure out what I can do with them and I want to show you that little trick. So, this is called yoyo crochet. I have the pattern email me with your email address and I will be glad to send it to you. They’re available free online anyway but I have to scan them and I can just email them to you and you can print them out. You can even make a blanket with yoyo crochet and who says it has to be a Christmas tree. You can like do like letters and etcetera but what I really like the white here looks very lacy which are like very lace like and so I’m not worried about the dangling strings for now. I can clean that up as I go along I’ll show you what you can do with those and yoyo crochet. I absolutely love it. So cool, so there you go, yoyo crochet.
