In this week tips segment we are going to talk a little bit about some container gardening. And of course this time of the year you can definitely be planting things in containers moving them outside.
What I did here was I just took some herbs and some vegetables and we have got some dill and we have got some lemon grass, we have got green a leaf lettuce and we have also got a red leaf lettuce. What you want to do is just sort to mix this all up inside of the container, I have chosen the nice plastic container to do that and you can plant this up of put it by your porch. The reason I tell you about this because even if you do not have a large garden you can certainly be planting things in containers around your house because they just really spruce them up.
I would put this right outside to my kitchen and I can just go outside and pick when I need to use some lettuce or some leaves or some of the other herbs. Of course I am not really planting this, I am just putting on a plus to show you how great the colors look together in a different textures. Obviously, you going to want it really plant this when you do this at your own house.
It is the great time that you planting a container herb garden. Other things you want to be doing in the yard, watch out for weeds. When you really want to get a hold of those weeds and get them out of the garden this time of the year, they are really going to be taking off. The other thing you want to be doing is just again walking around seeing what has sustain winter damage and if you know it is dead it is time to be starting to remove some of those plants. Hold of from the Rhododendron and some of the other broad leaf ever green whoever although I know they do not look very good, they are going to come back.
