When someone says they like your "gooey," don't get scared and don't contemplate filing a harassment lawsuit. This person
is just making a comment on the overall look of the graphical user interface (or GUI, pronounced "gooey") of the program you're using. Michael "Doctor File Finder" Callahan explains.

What is "GUI"
Mike Callahan: Hi, this is Mike Callahan "Doctor File Finder" and welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial and what is GUI? GUI standards for Graphical User Interface in Windows 7, Mac OS 10, Ubuntu Linux 9, we have lots of colors and images and pictures, all kinds of graphical elements that make things colorful. See here I'm working in DOS and this is not every graphical, it's kind of blau and bland and its text base. No pictures here, no colorful things.
So I could get the text color to be a different color if I wanted to but that's a pretty much it, you can also changes the background color but still not graphical, very flat, two dimensional looking as compared to the graphical user interfaces of today. Windows and Mac and Linux now use a Graphical User Interface by programmers its called GUI and it gives a whole new look to computing. You can see this is colorful and fun, you can see images, pictures and see all kinds of things in a graphical, colorful, user interface that's much more fun to use.
So when you hear the term GUI or GUI they are referring to the fact that the user interface is graphical in nature, colorful and full featured and that's all there is to it.
