THX, what is that mean? We hear it a lot. Well THX actually stand for Thomas and Holman’s Crossover. It is a technology that was developed by George Lucas originally for Star Wars, the Return of the Jedi. And George Lucas was trying to figure out how to make sure that the quality of the sound in one Movie Theater sounds the same on the other theater. So no matter where you saw Star Wars, you get the same great quality. Well, THX has become a standard for the industry now and everybody uses this as a way of defining a quality of the equality of audio in a motion picture and now its come to the home. So some TV sets typically the more high end sets now have THX certification. THX of course gone one step further and now thus video quality as well. So what is that mean Tab THX? Well if you have a THX quality system that’s been certified THX that means that the quality that you’re going to see in home is going to be equal to what the director originally wanted for this movie. So it’s a quality assurance thing and is the way of measuring all the settle things like color or in sound and the total experience. So THX, it is a good thing to have, it’s a nice reference.
