Kim: Well, the garden just is such a motivating tool for students to get kids understand where the food comes from. Kid: I was surprise because I didn’t know white pumpkin and squash and tomatoes can come up there. Kim: Just real life hands on experience that it connects with what where they're at, how they learn. Like they come out and try the flowers. They would know that they were edible. Kid2: I didn’t know I could eat flowers. Kim: So the fact that they have to pick it and help make it and ate it, but just different experiences, who just ate a flower? Just looking in a child’s face that comes in here. That enthusiasm they have, how much they learn, how much they love it. All of the vegetables they ate that we picked. You can't get that out of a text book. Kid3: The best part is that you earn and get to learn more and education about the plant and stuff you never know before. And sometimes it’s really interesting. Kids: We love our school garden.
