Visit the New Guard House in Berlin, Germany

Hi, I'm Naomi and I'm very excited to show you the world’s greatest attractions.

Berlin is one of the world’s great cities and has many historical landmarks. Located in the
heart of Berlin, the New Guard House has been an important piece of German history. A
stunning example of neo-classicism, the New Guard House once served as the watch
house for the guards of the Prussian kings.

Most recently in 1993, the New Guard House was renamed the “Central Memorial of the
Federal Republic of Germany”, for the victims of war and tyranny. Towards the end of
the Second World War, the New Guard House faced damage from a bomb raid that was
later repaired. The New Guard House is a striking war memorial in the city of Berlin.
