Liman Restaurant in Brooklyn NY
Yusuf Basusta: My name Yusuf Basusta. We are in Liman Restaurant right now. I opened this restaurant May 15th 1999. We are located at Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn right by the fishing boat, sailing area. Liman Restaurant is specializing grilled fish. Besides the grilled fish, we also have couple of meat dishes and Turkish appetizers, Turkish salads and desserts.
Male: I enjoyed it here. It’s super value, the food is great, the server is excellent. The people have a terrific attitude. It’s a pleasure to come to this restaurant and it’s always an enjoyable experience and we look forward to coming time and time again.
Yusuf Basusta: Besides the domestic fish, we also have a couple of important Mediterranean fish such as Mediterranean sea bass—and red mullets.
As you know Turkey is a peninsula surrounded by water like north side of Turkey is Black Sea and western Turkey is—and the southern Turkey is Mediterranean and that’s why fish restaurants are really popular in Turkey. Fish are very popular in Turkey.
Liman Restaurant is the first Turkish seafood restaurant in United States.
Male: It’s always good. It’s very delicious as usual. We come here about four times a month I would say on average. We like the restaurant, we like it very much. The service is good. Yusuf is very hospitable and everything is here, very nice.
Male: The fish, we usually get the St. Peters grilled fillet. It’s fabulous. Good, 100%.
Female: How about salads, do you get anything?
Male: We get these two salads we like. One is a chopped salad and one is the mixed green salad. It’s fabulous salad. Yeah, very good. Always good with little—
Yusuf Basusta: If you only try Turkish Kebab restaurant, come and try Turkish Seafood Restaurant. I bet you, you won’t regret it.
