Naomi: Hi I am Naomi and I am very excited to show you the World's greatest attractions.
Humayun's Tomb is a monumental tribute to a 16th Century Emperor in Delhi. Humayu and his wife lie buried within, surrounded by India's first Persian style gardens. Crafted out of red sandstone, the tomb itself is an ornate remembrance.
The building served as a refuge camp during the partition of India and Pakistan. Restoration to the ground structure began in the early 1990s and lasted ten years.
The tomb showcases a distinctive blend of Islamic and Indian architecture. Innovatively constructed Humayun's Tomb set the standard for centuries of design.
