Visit the City of Carmona in Spain

Julie Conover: Our fourth of writing brought us to the town of Carmona. We entered through the ancient city gate originally built by the Romans and later fortified by the Parador.

Mark Jennings: In the afternoon locals wind the city square and watch the world go by. The massive portrait overlooks the town. In the 13th century they became a palace for Spanish friends. Seven centuries later it was converted into a national Parador where guests can indulge in lingerie and we leave the past.

Female: We have this lovely Parador that we stayed in and the situation we did is quite standing.

Male: We find the place an interesting combination of amazing locations that is for find this picture the attractive.

Julie Conover: In the morning we left peaceful Carmona and headed for a small town just outside of Seville. We ride at the hacienda Benazuza just in time for a late lunch with the new group of cyclist. The hacienda’s warm color and exotic architectures spoke of any intriguing past. Built by the Morris in the 8th century it was taken by Spanish King Ferdinand in the 13th and used to reward one of his supporters.

Mark Jennings: The rooms are furnished with pure antiques and echo with the sounds of Morris princess. Even the chapel remains in its original state. Spending a night in the hacienda Banazuza is a truly magical experience.

Julie Conover: After a relaxing stay at the hacienda we were all ready to attack the next days ride. Our route would take us to a pine forest all of groves and eventually to the Atlantic coast.

The bike trips have been absolutely incredible riding along through the national park in Spain here and it was almost like being in Africa. You really loose the presence of where you are and you’re just riding along and it was great.

Mark Jennings: What’s been the best part of the rides so far?

Julie Conover: Stopping.

Male: But the scenery was fantastic, I agree it looks something like Africa’s suppose look that I’ve never been there so — but quite foot like California but we get of that everybody answered on the vineyard.

Julie Conover: We stop for lunch and what appeared to be at the deserted set of a Spaghetti western. We learned that this coast town feels to the brim one’s a year when over a million pilgrims from all over Spain converged here to honor the Virgin of El Rocio.
