Elaine Doherty: Well, so many people, if you don’t eat, it’s worth having, you’ll take it home and eat it for supper. It’s a wonderful burger and it’s your lucky day.
The only way to handle your coffee and burger. Okay, the coffee burger was developed by Delores Wasserburger who started Sioux Sundries about 33 years ago. It was started as an answer to one of our local branches Dell Patty who had a running thing going with the worries about the size of the burgers feeding his ranch and she developed the Coffeeburger. It’s a burger that would sell up just by a hunch and it became popular. It’s stuck and his name got stuck to it, so it’s called the coffeeburger. So, coffeeburger is a full two pounds of beef. It’s two 16 ounce patties, eight slices of cheese. It’s actually a cheeseburger, not a hamburger and it has lettuce, tomato, onions on the side. It is absolutely pure black Angus beef. We just leave the cheese on top, melt it on top and it is slow grilled to water and we give you lettuce, tomato, onions to add to your taste. It comes on a regular size hamburger bun which kind of gets lost in the coffeeburger.
In a short time that I’ve worked here at Sioux Sundries, I’ve had people from Japan, England, France, Australia, so many of the United States that I can’t even count them all like it would be easier to probably to think of the ones that we haven’t been here.
Sioux Sundries has a little bit of about everything and that’s where we get the name Sundries. We have things on the shelves here that probably haven’t been seen by most normal Americans in the last 30 years from things for whole settlements to beauty products. Right now, we got a whole display full of Halloween things for the kids, treat or trick bags, costumes, makeup, you name it it’s there. And we also have a bottom of cup of coffee full of water so if you're in the mood of just coffee, come in and sip.
With over 45 years of experience working in 40 countries, the South Pole and North Pole, the Watts present their travel, fly fishing and cooking videos.
