The Jungfrau mountain region is a UNESCO natural heritage site easily accessed by train from Grindelwald. The Jungfrau railway takes you by cogwheel train to the highest railways station in all of Europe. At the top of Europe lies Jungfraujoch located between heaven and earth at 3,454 meters above sea level.

One highlight is the Spinks observation tower from which you can look 360 degrees around and revel in having the peaks of the Eiger, monk and Jungfrau Mountains at eye level. Other attractions in the Jungfraujoch complex are a souvenir shop, exhibits and a technical wonder of the ice palace. Created in 1934, the palace extends over 1,000 square meters with imposing pillars and sculptures of wildlife and other exhibits carved out of natural ice.
