New video is released in the Trayvon Martin case. It shows the 17-year-old just 11 minutes before he was shot and killed by George Zimmerman. ABC News has the video.

The video shows Martin buying a drink and some Skittles just before his confrontation with George Zimmerman. It’s just one piece in a mounting pile of evidence that continues to grow as the trial begins WIS explains.

“More than 200 items of evidence in the Trayvon Martin case have been released by prosecutors. Police documents detail eyewitness accounts, George Zimmerman’s gun, and photos of Zimmerman taken by police just hours after the incident.”

And as WPLG explains -- both men were on drugs -- illegal or prescription -- the night of their altercation.

“The evidence just released also shows Martin had trace amounts of THC -- that’s the active ingredient in marijuana. We also learned that Zimmerman was on drugs to treat anxiety or insomnia.”

Still, The Miami Herald reports the evidence doesn’t enlighten a cloudy case, and doesn’t address who the aggressor was in the attacks. Plus, witness testimony has been scattered.

“...the cache of forensic evidence, autopsy results, documents, audio tapes and police reports also paints a murky portrait of a fight between two people that left a teenager dead, a man facing life in prison, and a community shaken. Some witnesses contradicted each other and others were flat wrong. Some heard two shots, when only one was fired. A few people saw the man with a red shirt — Zimmerman — on top during the fight, while others saw Trayvon Martin straddling Zimmerman and throwing punches.”
