Hi there my name is Dave from Video-Fx-University.tk and today I am giving you a basic tutorial on Sony Vegas 7. Vegas is a video editing program and it is probably one of the most easiest programs there is out there, however some people new to video editing will probably still find it quite confusing if they do not know what they are doing. So I am going to show you the basic interface. Over here we have our time line. This is where we place everyday files, as you can see we got numbers here which indicate minutes, seconds and all the rest of that. So when your video goes in here you can tell how long it is and over here we have our preview window. This will show you a preview of whatever we are up to in our video. So I say it is plays back in Real Time what you are actually looking at this particular time. Now this line thing here, this is our key frame assistant, basically where this line is, is exactly the point where the video frame is on. So if there is a video here this line will be right here and you would see that frame, right in this window. We have our audio which is basically shows you a girlfriend on your down how high is. Here we have a media box, this is basically where all of the files that we use go, we use for this project. Then here as you can see, we have got some tabs that we can press, you know I have got media manager, transitions, this is all for our effects and stuff before we do about Clever Screen Swipes, gives to let all of this and if you you’re your cursor over here, it gives you a brief lit works and demonstration and what it can do. Video effects, which is quite more advance to effects to effects, you know you can change it to a black and white, add a border to it and it color create it so that you can get quite a decent quality video. We deform—basically turn your video so it looks old. Out placing, swirly and things like that. I have got lens flares, taking out the lens flare into your video and radio blur. So if you want to add blur into you have got all kinds different effects you can add into it. Also, you have got your text as well. We can choose whatever text you want. So it is quite a lot of things to play around with here.
