Hey guys, this time I just want to share with you another Vista tip. Well, actually I’m going to show three simple quick and easy Vista tips for you.
So to start off we’ll go to adding additional clocks on your desktop. So to do that we go to our clock here, click that and this is my clock. This is my time zone and it’s 11:58 p.m. here. Let’s say you want to check on the time of your friends in other countries with different time zones and you want to click access from your desktop. So to do that just go to change date and time settings then go to the additional clocks tab and then check if you want to show this clock. So you can add up to two clocks making it three clocks on your desktop so that’s pretty cool. So I’ll just add in the Pacific Time because I have a friend in US and then this one it’s just randomly selected time zone in West Central Africa, hit apply, hit okay and boom. We now have three different clocks with three different time zones. So it’s 8:59 in the US and it’s 4:59 p.m. in Africa so that’s pretty cool.
Okay, second tip is all about your Windows Explorer. So it’s just a simple trick you can do with your Windows Explorer. It’s not actually a trick but a tip especially if you’re used with Windows XP. So let’s go to my computer for instance. As you can see here, we have a different window and different options for window. And if you’re familiar with Windows XP like myself and I’m actually searching for the file menu and I can’t see it. Well, it’s not a problem but hey it’s not bad to ask. So to do that and to show the file menu all you need to do is press the Alt button on your keyboard and your file menu is back again or Windows Explorer. So to hide it just press Alt once again and it’s gone. So it’s the ordinary file menu you would recall. You can also hide it by clicking so there you go. So that’s another tip for you guys.
So our last tip involved the zooming in and zooming out. Let’s say you have a friend that has a poor eyesight or elderly that you want to show something on the net or on your computer so basically let’s say we opened Firefox and if your mouse has a scroll wheel this works with those types of mouse. All you need to do is press your Ctrl key on your keyboard and then you scroll using your scroll wheel like so.
So you can actually zoom in or zoom out. So as you can see I can zoom out of my YouTube page and I can also zoom in like so and not only in Mozilla Firefox or whatever browser you’re using you can also do that in your Windows Explorer. So the same procedure, press the Ctrl key and then scroll wheel so you can zoom in or just well zoom out. So there you go.
So those are just simple and quick tips for you guys. More videos to come and if you have any suggestions or questions about my videos or the anything related, message me on YouTube.
