NBC’s hit show “The Voice” will usher, literally Usher, in some new judges for their spring season to replace two of the current judges. But the move is only temporary -- Here’s WFMZ to explain.

 

“NBC says Usher and Shakira are joining as new coaches when Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green take a break from the show.”

 

During Aguilera's break, The Sun reports the superstar will go on tour for her upcoming album, Lotus. The singer says...

 

“As I have expressed since Day One of the show ... I am a singer and performer first and I am so excited to get back to that love…”

 

As for Green — he’ll also be working on some new music. Here’s a look at his new album cover “Magic Moment.”

 

And if Green’s life is anything similar to that album cover, the new sitcom he plans to work on during his break might actually be pretty interesting. The show is based on his real life, and is set to air on NBC. Top executives at the network support both Green’s and Aguilera’s decisions. 

 

The show’s Executive Producer, Mark Burnett,  told Inside TV --

 

 “Having award-winning artists as coaches means they need to be able to tour. … our coaches have their chairs for life. This is exactly why, after three seasons, we needed to allow them to rotate out so they can get on the road amongst their fans…”

 

Upcoming judge and Grammy award winner Usher seems to be pretty excited himself.-- tweeting Monday night…

 

“With all the talented voices out there in the world. Other raising stars could benefit from my mentoring. #TeamUsher who's with me?”

 

Current judges, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will remain on the show for season 4.
