PHOTOGRAPH OF BLAKE STORY: Swedish photographer Jimmy Wixtrom's pictures from the men's Olympic 200 metres final on Thursday (August 9) have become some of the most sought after thanks to Usain Bolt. The Jamaican runner, who claimed a historic sprint double-double by winning the final, took the camera and started taking snaps of the crowd, training partner Yohan Blake and Wixtrom himself. "So after he won he was like walking around and tried to celebrate with the fans and I was like 'hey may be I am going to make it' so I just throw all the stuff away and just take one camera in each hand and just start running. "I was running around and tried to get down to the field and when I came down there Usain was 20 metres away and I start screaming." It was not the first time Bolt has used Wixtrom's camera. The Swede first came up with the idea at the 2011 world championships in Daegu last year and then he met the Jamaican ahead of the Diamond League meeting in Rome last year. "He recognised me because he was looking at me and was 'yeah okay', you know," Wixtrom said. "So he come and gets the camera. Shot a few shots. "And the thing is he took a lot of shots and the thing is he took a lot of shots you know and tried to get Blake to do some. I think it was like this his monster thing so it just wasn't pictures, it was great pictures as well." Bolt added the 200m title to his 100m gold and became the first athlete to win the two races twice. The 25-year-old could make it a double-treble on Saturday (August 11) if Jamaica retain their 4x100m relay title.
