Understanding Craps Terminology

Male: Give me a four on the horn, a buck on the come. Now, don’t come and play the nine for me. What? What’s the problem Justine?

Justine: Well, I'm sorry it's just I mean, let’s face it. Every time I talk about craps or look at this board, it just makes me blush, you know, I mean, come, don’t come, six, nine, pass, horn.

Male: Justine nothing about craps’ terminology has anything to do with sex at all. In fact, according to this book, most of the terms of craps were made out by very, very clean cut sailors in World War II. They played craps pretty much day and night and some of the terms for the throw of this dice, complete innocuous, harmless. In fact, right here in the book it says, “Two single dots”, you call them “Snake Eyes, Aces or Deuces”.

Two fives you call it Cherry Boxes, you call an eight, “Eighter from Decatur” and a 12 as “Midnight or Boxcars”. What? There's nothing sexy about boxcars and eleven is “Yo”, seven is “Big Red.”

Female: Big red, what?

Male: Just big red, big red nothing. A loosing seven is called “Skinny Doogan.” Four is called “Little Joe”, and finally a six to four roll it's called “Big Dick”.

Female: I’ve got to go.

Male: What? What did I say? It’s in the book, it's a big dick. Forget it, alright. Let's go a seven, give me some. I’ll get back.
