Turkey and Bean Burrito Burger
Today chewing your favorites are coming together in a budget friendly meal that you guys can make again and again. I'm making stretch a buck Burrito Burgers. So I've got my nice lean ground turkey breast just one pound. I’m going to turn it into a Burrito Burger now with some rice. Throw in a couple of handfuls of rice and then we’re going to spice it up, half a palm full of cumin. Which smells nice and smoky and it has this wonderful spicy flavor but there is not heat level to it, you know it’s not going to make it too spicy too hot on your tongue, ground coriander nice and bright.
Good palmful of chili powder. If you wanted super smoky flavored you can use ground chapoli chili powder, and if you wanted kind of sweeter more mild but still spicy chili powder try oncho chili powder. Here we go—and then you can just throw in some salt and pepper, or I always have grill seasoning on hand, it has really nice tasty flavor to it. And now what do you think of when you think of Burritos? Well I think of meat, beans and rice, so I am going to throw some beans in, pump up the fiber, pump up the protein even more and stretch your buck, because beans are lot cheaper than ground sirloin or ground turkey breast.
Now you can use—if I was going to make like a ground sirloin like a beef and bean burger, I would use the black bean, but I think with the turkey, pinto beans pair up really nicely. But of course you can use any bean you like, just make sure you don’t pick up refried beans, that would be a little gooey and kind of gross to mix up.
Drain them off in the old GB here are good buddy the garbage bowl. You know it’s really fun is to make this for parties and just buy a little—you know like little dinner roles and split those turn these into a little slider size patties and that’s a really inexpensive party offering for you. Now the fun part, I love playing with my food. Okay now I make this huge amount, score it with your hand, so you know you end up with the like sized burgers and you're going to make huge half pound Burrito patties and that’s how you get two pounds of food out of one pound of meat. Here we go, okay so now nice crusty bun here, beef and beans burrito burger, our leftover rice, pinto beans, ground turkey breast, cumin, coriander, chili powder fantastic.
A little bit of lettuce, nice beautiful slice and ripe tomato. And then lots and lots of that guacamole sour cream, look at the size of this burger you guys, you know what I do when I hold up a burger this big, compare it to the size of my head and I got a big head.
