Host: Chris and Sharon have a sparkly new master bath. Did designer Faye Sheridan’s calm oasis bring a smile to the couple’s faces? It’s time to find out.
Sharon: We love our new bathroom.
Designer: What happened to that big tub? Actually it is gone, it’s hard to believe that old tub was actually in here when you stand in the space today.
Sharon: I forgotten what it was.
Designer: We replaced the window but we wanted to maintain the wonderful view of Lake Washington that was one of your criteria so how does that worked for you?
Sharon: It has worked out great, we’ve been able to maintain our privacy by raising the windows so that no one can see in but at the same time we still have our great view.
Designer: The materials all have gone together so beautifully. The wall has a great glow with the Venetian plaster.
Sharon: Well it has a nice shading to it.
Designer: The pattern of the travertine on the floor. It adds such a nice texture. The continuation of the mosaic on the perimeter of the room and around the vanities…
Sharon: Really brings it all together.
Designer: What do you think of the art glass?
Chris: It’s unique obviously and it just really gives us this beautiful piece of art in our everyday space.
Designer: It plays of the Venetian plaster and it’s just such a beautiful piece with the circle and ribbed impressions in the glass itself.
Host: The artist paid commission to create the art glass also made the sconces.
Chris: We really wrestle with this room for actually about 2 years and we would never try to go through another remodel like this without having a designer at work.
Designer: Oh thank you Chris, I really enjoyed working on the project because we used such interesting materials and we brought artisan and special craftsman to create a really special environment for you so happy showers.
Sharon: You made it great.
Designer: Thank you.
Chris: Thank you so much. We’re going to love the space.
