Tour of Missouri Shows Local Food and BBQ
Male: No one’s ever going to confuse the Tour of Missouri with the Tour de France. Instead of Alpine climb, it's for relentless rollers. Instead of brie and bread, it’s barbeque and baked beans. But that’s all part of what makes this race unique and that includes deep fried Oreos.
Female: We’re selling like crazy. It’s a good day out here. Well the Oreo and then it gets coated with some powdered sugar, it goes with the batter but we can't tell you the recipe. It's a secret. I’d have to kill you. We also do deep fried twinkies and even snickers, candy bars.
Male: I own Engine 51 Smokers BBQ and Catering. I'm a local here in Saint James. I love bicycling, barbeque brisket, cold pork and barbequed nachos.
Male: We have kabobs, Filipino noodles “pancit” is what it’s called and we have “lumpia” and they're all just absolutely delicious.
Male: What I started with was hub cab clocks and then I added a license plate clock, but I’m interested in cars and that’s where I started doing this.
Male: You definitely don’t find this at the Tour de France just like to this course.
