Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, has died at age 82 due to complications following heart surgery. CNN has a statement from Armstrong’s family on how to honor the historic astronaut.

A New York police commissioner has confirmed none of the nine people wounded in Friday’s shooting were shot by the gunman. HLN has more.

After a drone strike Friday killed a Taliban commander, reports Saturday say another airstrike killed the second in command of the Haqqani Network. The BBC reports, the group was responsible for many high-profile attacks and kidnappings in Afghanistan.
