Hi I'm Rebecca Brayton and welcome to watchmojo.com, and today in our travel series we'll checking out the Western Cape. Located in South West South Africa the capital of this province is Cape Town which also serves as the legislative capital of South Africa.
Cape Town is the second most heavily populated city in South Africa, the residents come from culturally diverse backgrounds. The most widely spoken language is Africans with its largely Mediterranean Climate many crops are harvested as well as much of South Africa's wine. Cape Town is the center of the South African wine industry with the cool Atlantic winds affecting the areas grapes.
Ostrich racing is popular; visitors can race ostriches by riding on their backs. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront Complex offers various sites for tourists and residents alike. Remarkable natural landmarks and friendly people draw visitors to the paradise that is the Western Cape.
