Hey, what’s up everybody? 40th applications reviewed here. This is going to be my top five applications for used number 31-39. We’re getting up into the higher numbers now. Number 40 that means its not reviewed a few hundred applications for you guys. Hopefully we’re going to keep getting up into these higher applications and hopefully you guys will keep enjoying.
Let’s start off with my number five top application which is going to be called Blocked. This is one of the top applications right now in the paid version in the App Store. And I can totally see why I'm addicted as crap to this game. It comes preloaded with a hundred levels at five different difficulties: easy, medium, hard, harder and hardest. At those levels you get 20 all levels per difficulty setting which will total up to about 100 levels.
They haven’t released any information about this yet but I’m betting so that since people are beating this game so quickly because it’s so addicting that in the recent future they will be updating it with more levels in more unloadable packs.
So as you can see, we’re on level one. This is easy and simple concept. All you need to do is move these gray blocks depending on which way they're facing. Horizontals move horizontal, vertical is vertical and then this blue block will always be at there and you have to slide it to this through this little passage over here.
So do a certain amount of moves and twist in all that stuff, you’ll be able to maneuver that blue block to that little hole. And as you guys see this game is easy as crap at first it’s supposed to be at an easy application at first as you go around the easy levels.
Now when we get up into newer, harder levels and we have to do this the game gets a little bit more confusing, a little bit more troublesome and it still stays extremely addicting. It’s such a fun application I would definitely recommend that you at least go check it out. I know there’s no free light version of it in the app Store but I would definitely recommend you to at least go check it out though. If don’t want to go, I’ll cup up the extra money for it then you might want to at least I don’t know. Try these on the internet because there’s no block in the internet but there are the applications and games that is actually like this on the internet. There’s probably some free application similar to this in the app Store but I’m definitely going to bet that they’re not going to be as high quality as this. So with the 100 levels preinstalled in such a cheap price for only a dollar. This is Blocked, my number five application review for now.
My number four app review is one that is in pretty much high demand when I first started reviewing this and that is going to be called Touchgrind. A little bit more of a higher asking price at $5.00 but I would definitely, definitely okay the extra bucks for it because it’s one of a kind application I’ve seen so far.
You're greeted with this a little skate wheel. Great graphics so far and you have ABOUT which is just basically the company that makes it. HOW TO which is a video tutorial showing you how to do certain tricks and grinds and whatnot. I definitely recommend you to go check that out because it can be pretty helpful. WARM UP which will be a time limitless session where you can go around and mess around in skateboard. JAM SESSION which will be also no time limit but you has a full skate park and you’re trying to get your highest trick score.
COMPETITION mode will be where you have a certain amount of time and you’re going around trying to get the highest rankings and highest score ever and do the recent update and I have online ranking available. But sadly if you had a high score previous to that now, you click ENABLE you’ll have to reset your high score which is kind of a down right I don’t know why they had to make it like that. But anyway that’s competition mode and the options. We’re going to JAM SESSION right now and I’ll show what the applications all about.
So you start the application with a few boards already as a beginner; the boards are NOOB and TOUCHGRIND and you gradually unlock all these different boards. There’s about ten or fifteen of them and due to a recent updates also then now have a new board when you get to 3million points called the NINJA which is extremely fast and a little bit tough to control actually. This BLACK DEVIL this one goes a little bit higher. Some of them have specialties; some of them are just average boards. This one is my favorite design called the KING and we’re going to start which is like the board. It will take a couple of seconds to load and then you’ll be able to jam right in.
So as you guys see this is all a touch physics game. It’s very similar to the Tech Deck Games Skateboarding that you guys all saw when you were younger a couple of years back. And it has the same physics engines, same kind of idea concept to it that should be front foot, backward after and that would depend on how high the alley is.
Now as you can see you can’t really see much is all of I don’t know I guess I would call this third person view, but you’re straight above the skateboard. You can’t see any of the skate park around you so these little icons surrounding you will basically be telling where everything’s at. The black will indicate a rail. The green one will indicator bar or a ramp and then there is I believe red one somewhere. The green indicates boxes. Usually all I ever do is actually gets on the rails because that I think the most fun part about this application. But anyway if you actually want to go and find out some more steps in the skate park, just click this little magnifying glass and you have this full blown skate park to go around and just roam. Free roam you have unlimited time; go have a blast on it. Create some new sessions, new lanes to go I don’t know what they’re called. But anyway pretty sweet application so far. As you guys see you can always click the main menu button and set a marker. So if we’re going around we mess up a trick, hit the magnifying glass, hit this little x and there’s our marker again so we can nail the trick or fall over again.
Anyway that is going to be Touchgrind. That’s a pretty simple basic review for you. It’s a $5.00 application from the app store but as you can see to the great graphics one of a kind physics game play and a pretty fun free roam limitless type of game play style. I definitely recommend you at least go check it out if you want to. That’s called Touchgrind, a $5.00 application from the app store.
Third top app, one of my favorites right now also is going to be called Zombieville USA. Now this application just had a little over the price raise and had to introductory price at $0.99 I believe and now it’s been raised up to two bucks. And it’s still definitely worth the asking price I would say. It’s one of the top paid applications right now in the app store. That’s a very simple game play to it, yet very addicting and very one of a kind also, pretty original.
So in the main menu you are greeted with new game options at how to play. You can skip HOW TO PLAY; it’s a pretty simple concept. Once you play the game, then you’ll have your records over here which will show the one game play, the number of zombies you’ve killed and the level that you achieved. So we’re going to a new game and I’ll show you the basics of it.
So your grade here you have one loading screen when you first start it and it’s pretty quick as you guys see. It’s like three to four seconds. And now we have this cool red neck looking guy with his vests. It doesn’t really give a storyline or anything like that you're just spot down right inside of this night time setting with all these zombies that apparently don’t like me. I don’t why and I don’t know why I’m not a zombie but really who cares. There’s no storyline necessity for this. It’s just a fun app and it’s a fun app to go around and just blow zombies brains up pretty much.
So what we do is you have these two arrows at the bottom; left arrow and right arrow, pretty simple as that. Then you touch in the middle of those arrows you’ll shoot and depending on how far you got and you can upgrade with more different weapons. And with more weapons, different zombies will come up; the stronger zombies, slower zombies, faster zombies but they’re pretty much all the same in a different way just some of them take more bullets and whatnot.
But as you’re walking, you’ll pass through these houses. Hop up at the door and you’ll be able to stop right in. Zombies can’t hurt you when you are inside of the house. You’ll either be able to get some money from them or you pick up ammo. I don’t know why every house on the blocks seems to have ammo. It seems like everyone just seems to be in the riffle association. So we’re walking down. I don’t why these guys are trying to kill me. I’m really not complaining though because as you guys see the fantastic original graphics you really want to see this kind of graphics in applications. These are trying to be the best, most high-tech, these are pretty sweet graphics too and pretty flawless game play. You don’t really get too much lagging even when you’ve got a lot of zombies trying to come at you at once but hopefully I got some ammo here.
But ammo can be a strategy trying to supplement your ammo correctly. As you guys saw I just run out the ammo and if there is money in that house I would have been screwed.
I’m trying to get to the end of this level so I can actually show you guys what the story is at the end. And as you can see I can loot houses for me to have more money or by killing a zombie you’ll also be able to achieve a little bit of money depending on what type of zombie it is. So it’s the end of the level. Level cleared and now we’re going to be passing onto this little random market. I don’t what this is set up for. And we’re going to begin in the smaller guns to power up with but in the end it becomes chainsaws, huge massive shotguns that’s like a missile launcher. You get some pretty crazy once you’re here in the game and there are a lot of zombies coming at you. But you can just purchase some health too that fills up your health part at the top and progress on to the next level.
But you guys are going to have to pay it to go see that one. That is called Zombieville USA, a $2.00 download from the App Store. Love that one. I’m addicted to that one right now. That is my number three application review.
My number two app is going to Tap Tap Revenge 2. This is sequel to the hit and surprisingly free application from the App Store. This is the only free app that I don’t have in my top five and I’m not complaining. I hope you guys aren’t either. This game completely lives up to a paid application standard. They can get a pretty high asking price for this. I don’t why they’re not but I’m not complaining. This is a sweet application.
So you’re working to download the application and you only have two songs included with it. They’re both originals actually I believe. I try to remember what they are called. One of them is called Tap Tap Revenge. The crystal method is down under. And the other song is going to be Tap Tap DomiNation by the Stroke 9.
So you have those two songs preinstalled and then for free upgrades just see you’re going here to click downloads. Go into new music and if you have any that you haven’t got—anyway so you can just download like that. You simply click and it takes about 10-15 seconds to download the song. It’s free, no problem, no charge and whatsoever. And then it’s downloaded on to iPod to play in the game. Download it on your iPod so you can listen to it it’s only on your application. Basically, just go into play and you have a really nice home menu. If you guys have seen Tap Tap Revenge one, the first original game. It was a little bit sloppy and messy in so some updates come up for it. But now this one is perfectly set up for it is amazing, seamless, and flawless. In your main menu you have one player and two players which got a new maker which I’ll show you in a second. Career which is basically just goals and achievements that you’ve unlocked and then play online. The play online is awesome.
On the Tap Tap Revenge 1 play online was kind of lagging. A little bit kind of sloppy and messy. Now it’s pretty much just golden it’s like you're planning a person across the room for me with WiFi and no problem, whatsoever. So the online also got big thumbs up for me in this sequel to it. And if we’re going to the two-player you have all the difficulties the same as the single player. I’ll pick a song and I’ll show you the new revamp two-player menu setting or style/look. Anyway this is Garden State by Senses Fail. So as you can see, it’ll start in a second to the two-player and there we go.
This new added bar on the right side is kind of a copy of a Guitar Hero but I’m not going to be ripping on Guitar Hero right now. It’s very similar to it. This is the bar showing you who is on the lead. So if I start hitting the notes on this side then the bar should come down to blue. So as you can see now the bar is about more on the middle now. And that’s pretty much the entire concept of the Tap Tap Revenge. You’re playing to guitar here with your fingers.
It’s a fantastic applications surprisingly it’s free and it includes a crazy amount of songs all free to download. Definitely go and check out what at there is. No harm in doing it. It’s a free application and one of the top one’s in the App Store right. That’s Tap Tap Revenge 2, my number two application.
And finally my number one application and I’m sure a lot of you guys will be able to tell what it is. This is going to be Eye Dracula. And especially because of recent updated videos released for it, this is definitely going to demolish the entire pack so far and it definitely here in its top spot at number one.
So if you start the application now you're greeted with this really creepy looking gray tombstone menu with play game, options, instructions, credits and high scores. Go and play a game. And now we have three different levels and four different modes to play from. Go into the levels; we have Castle Hall, Grave Park which was the original level and then Frozen Earth. Each level has different masters in it and you’ll be able to greeted with some different ones also. They got four different play modes; we have Super Survival, Wave Attack which is also a pretty funny concept, Rush which was included in the original and Survival which is including the original.
Super Survival, I’m really not sure with that as I’ve tried to figure it out and I really can’t figure out. If someone does, please leave in the comments and I’ll including it in the annotation. And then Wave Attack, you have certain waves of enemies kind of similar to Survival but they come in different sessions and use different amounts. And if you survive longer waves you get more power ups and everything. So that’s also a pretty fun addition on to it. But let’s just play Survival on Frozen Earth.
So, you have one loading screen in the beginning but it’s definitely not that big of a problem because once you play you can play for minutes upon minutes; ten, 20 minutes, 30 minutes if you’re really good. No problem whatsoever you’re not going to have any loading screen. I haven’t had any frame issues even when there is like 30 or 40 monsters trying to kill me at once. Now that the loading screen is done, we’re all finish with them now. We can just go and just destroy.
So the controls are a little bit shaky at first. It took me about five minutes to figure them out and actually give it a play. I hated him at first. But after five minutes they became probably my favorite controls I’ve ever used on an iPod application. I’m assuming that they figured out that people get used to them and I’m really glad that they kept them like this and didn’t just use a traditional D-pad with buttons. This is a fantastic control setup and what to do is use left circular 360-device kind of like an analog stick to spin around and that will control where you got moves. And then so it is moving. And then this right one will control where he’s aiming and he’ll always be shooting so if you have to push, push this way. Anytime you push on that right one he’ll always be shooting. You have to push anywhere else.
So as you can see, more monsters or I would say the werewolves do tend to come the farther that you get an application. And once you’ve killed a certain amount you’ll be able to unlock perks or sometimes they’ll drop stuff like ammunition, more weapons which definitely keeps this application interesting and fun. You can get up into like a crossbow and get up into your shotgun. That’s no big deal. It’s really fun when he get up into the big guns like the machine gun, the rocket launcher, the grenade launcher that’s when the application gets fun when you just demolish everything in your path.
So now that I've unlocked the perk by killing a certain amount of monsters. It’ll pick a random perks for you and you can pick one. Read the little description of them and you can just click them by hitting select or okay. So panic faster reload, shotgun master, reload shotgun. The Crossbill master which is where you learn to shoot three at once instead of one or bondage which is an instant heal right away.
So anyway now we’re going to go back into the game. I’m trying to find an extra weapon like I see there’s the shotgun. Usually that the second weapon you’d be able to pick up from werewolf. And as you can see here, there is a loop of a soundtrack playing here with the same music over and over. But for some reason it’s on of the soundtracks that doesn’t get annoying. Usually the soundtracks that are annoying especially after you’re playing for a while but this is original soundtrack, this is original song they play for it just fits it perfectly and I love it. It’s a fantastic song and to go along with all the beating that you’re delivering basically to all these little monsters coming around at you. New perk called the new weapon. I’d never seen that so now you get the shotgun. It’s blowing crap up.
So anyway guys that’s going to be my entire view for Eye Dracula. There is no light version on the App Store and I’m not upset about that at all because I want you guys to go and check it out. So go pay a dollar for it guys. I think it’s only a dollar or maybe for the new update it might be two bucks. I paid 50 bucks for this. This is a sweet application. The best one probably I have played in the App Store. I don’t know if it might say ever get a big about some other classic but this is definitely one that’s worth a few bucks. This is Eye Dracula, one of the top paid apps in the App Store now. Go check it out. That’s going to be my number one application for right now for reviews number 31-39.
That’s all I got for you guys right now. If you may run to list one more time; my number five application is Blocked, my number four application is Touchgrind, my number three application is Zombieville USA, my number two application is Tap Tap Revenge 2—anyway check in the more info over here that will have my written down for you.
