Vanessa Weleda: Putting together your spring wardrobe should be a little fun. Hi! This is Vanessa Weleda with watchmojo.com and today we are going to give you some excellent tips on how to put together that special wardrobe and five items that you must have in your closets and the number one item on the spring list for us girls is denim.
Jonathan: Denim is always in every season, this season what we are seeing for spring is a lot of different kinds of denim you are looking at, here we have a denim yoga jeans which is kind of like a legging, very thin, very stretchy, super comfortable. This jeans says itself if someone tries it on, they are likely to leave the store with it because it's like a second skin.
Denim overalls, little shorts, short overalls, little jumpers, behind me I have little skinny jeans overalls, it's a nice twist to a classic that a lot of people were afraid of. Other thing that's coming back is flairs. You thought flairs were gone but they are actually coming back. Here we have a nice -- it's pretty wide flair but it's nice and fitted on the thigh, and gradually goes down into wide flair, flow, rise, still in. Denim is going to take a different shape in spring, but again have fun with that and own it.
Vanessa Weleda: Let's talk a little bit about accessorizing. For example overall, like what do we have right here?
Jonathan: Like with the overall with anything you will be doing this spring, everyone has been saying it. It's true, a lot of accessorizing, a lot of big jewelry, obnoxious colors, lots of belts, purses, your shoes, bright shoes, platforms are kind of coming back too, like they are kind of the wedge. We are kind of selling away from little tiny heels.
Vanessa Weleda: The next item on your list should be a little dress. Now Jonathan is going to talk to us a little bit about this dress right here.
Jonathan: This dress is a Colcci. Colcci has a lot of very bright colors, bright big patterns. What we are seeing a lot is a lot of kind of classic cuts with a twist. They are like very kind of 1950s looking cut on a dress, the higher waist skirts, the dresses are also a bit shorter this season because you are going to be layering a lot, layering with your jeans, with your leggings. Also very light fabrics, very flowy, and very adjusted at the right places, and not too tights.
Vanessa Weleda: What girl doesn't love handbags, I know I do, and now Jonathan is going to tell us what to look forward to spring.
Jonathan: Handbags you are looking are really sparkly, again obnoxious kind of 1980s, everything sparkles on it, gold, whether it's big buckles, big bold patterns, bright colors, and have a bag that's big enough to fit all your stuff.
Vanessa Weleda: What about the materials?
Jonathan: We are seeing a lot of everything. I guess a bit less leather, I have been seeing that less in spring.
Vanessa Weleda: And it's always about the jewelry that you are wearing.
Jonathan: Again like we said with everything else, flashy, big, mixing a lot of things together. This is five things going on at once. You have some kind of coppery or like some chrome, silver, gold, black. There is all kinds of stuff on here, all in one chain, it's all attached.
Vanessa Weleda: After hibernating all winter, and wearing thick layers it's finally time to have fun this spring. Jonathan is going to tell us how to have fun with layers?
Jonathan: There is a lot of open backs, or mesh, transparent, open everywhere, you want to hide something. So you are going to want to have in your wardrobe tank-tops, even the classic beater with little V necks, you can wear with little vest or some kind of blazer, leggings. You need to have some leggings in your wardrobe. We have some lace leggings, we've got some caramel colored leggings, we've got some polka dotted leggings. So while you are waiting for the polka dot bikini, get some polka dotted leggings.
