Mike Agerbo: Did you ever stop to think you know maybe wonder what happens to all those office supplies once you have finish consuming them or using them, well sadly in most cases they end up in places like this, the dumpster, landfills which isn't not great for the environment or the planet for that matter. You know a lot of times when we are looking at office supplies or different types of consumer electronics products we don't know we stop to think what happens to them when we're finished, we put all these research and effort into making sure that we get good value what we are using them, but once we're done we typically just throw them away.

Well fortunately they are choices available greener choices. So we obviously know that throwing away printer cartridges is really bad for the environment but its kind of tough, you start to accumulating these little things, you know whether your home or a business you can be printing anywhere from 100s to 1000s of pages a month and I know a lots of people that just throw these things in the garbage. And I can't blame them because in the past it's been really difficult to actually find a place to recycle these.

Well HP has got a program called HP Planet partners and its free which is a nice thing and it works with participating retailers and all you have to do is take all of your finished printer cartridges whether they are Ink Cartridges or Toner Cartridges down to a local Staples and they will recycle if for you. HP uses their own close loop process which uses consumer recycle products like water bottles into making their own brand new HP Ink cartridges. And in fact half the plastics that are used in new HP cartridges are from the HP Planet Partners program.

Well let's take to road now and show you how easy it is to return these. So we've hit the road now and again I just want to show you how simple it is to bring these little printer cartridges back and keep in mind this program is free, so it doesn't cost you anything. And the Planet Partner Program is actually up and going in 50 countries around the world. So HP does make it very easy for consumers to do the right thing. In Canada again you can drop them off at a Staples location and there is three hundred of these stores across the country. So there really is no excuse not just to grab these cartridges on your commute and drop them off at one of the locations. And remember is free, its simple, and HP and Staples take care of the rest.
