The Tip Top Cocktail Recipe
The Tip Top cocktail, an interesting twist of what a cocktail is. Welcome to the Cocktail Spirit from Small Screen Network, I’m your host Robert Hess.
You know with the Tip Top cocktail, one of the interesting things we’re going to notice is that there isn’t a base spirit. We’re going to start off with 2 ounces of dry Vermouth and then and 1/8 of an oz of Benedictine, which is frankly is all that hard to measure when the smallest you got is a 1/4 of an ounce. So instead, all I’m going to do is just pour basically the smallest amount I possibly can straight in and I’ll assume that’s anything else.
Then we add a dash of angostura bitters and we’re done, and add the ice. Stir to chill. And then strain into our cocktail glass and garnish with lemon twist. Again I don’t have to remind you that it’s important to make sure you’re doing this lemon twist over top of the drink. So those essential oils hadn’t skipping as I’m cutting the twist or going into the drink and being properly used.
Now there might be some cases where the lemon oils coming off are going to be overpowering for you drink and so you can use that at the personal taste. But you want to make sure that your choosing to do that rather than just doing it from forgetfulness. Do not drink just not knowing.
