The Role of Pluto in Mythology
On behalf of tvlesson.com, I am Maya White, an astrologer and intuitive guide with mayawhite.com. Let’s talk a little bit about Pluto.
Pluto is noted as the God of the underworld. He is started as an angry and sometimes very mysterious God. Pluto lives alone in his dark cave, rejected alone, far from the sun. Pluto at one time was by astronomers actually demoted as not being a planet anymore. But astrologers always recognized that Pluto is indeed very powerful and plays a dynamic role in the chart.
In astrology, Pluto represents our greatest fear and also the dragon that we must slay to overcome and transform to be reborn. Pluto is assigned—ruler ship of the sign of Scorpio which is also a sign of death and rebirth and transformation. Another way to think of this transformation is the image of a butterfly unfolding out of a cocoon.
Pluto although he is alone, actually not totally alone in his dark cave, he has a wife. Pluto got his wife by abducting her, by reaching his hand up into the ground and abducted the young maiden, Persephone. Persephone actually does rule with Pluto half of the year and she's regarded as a queen. So although Pluto is a lonely kind of angry guy, he does treat his wife very well and gives her great power. So Pluto although he may seem to rule death and destruction, transformation, he does have a heart.
Other issues ruled by Pluto will be oil, large corporations and even our government.
On behalf of tvlesson.com, this has been Maya White. Thank you for watching.
