The Pros Pick the Best Gifts for Beauty Junkies!
Wondering where to get the beauty junky on your holiday shopping list? Well, we’ve asked the top hair and makeup artist for their Pro picks. From the best in hair, makeup, beauty tools and skin care, Bella TV has got all your basis cover. Let’s shop.
Best in nails, Urban Decay’s Apocalyptic nail kit. This is a favorite of pro makeup and hair artist Allan Avendaño who works with sexy stars as Haylie Duff and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks. He says this kit is the ultimate nail gift, full of bold beautiful, brilliant use that will have beauty junkies changing out their nail color every night. Not only that, but it’s perfect for the health conscious animal lovers just like me. This also happens to be on Bella Sugar’s December Must Have list. So, you know it’s going to be a Pro pick.
Best in makeup, Celebutante gift set by Benefit. This is a favorite of celebrity makeup artist Mary Klimek who has worked with sexy stars as Olivia Wilde and Adele. She says it has everything. You’ve got two different lip colors and I’m with the band lip gloss, high beam which is a face highlighter then a tint, two different color eyeshadows and Dallas blush with an applicator brush. What more could you need in a kit?
Best in skincare, Nude Intense Moisture Mask. This is a top pick of Pro stylist Jen Atkins who’s worked with such—as Gossip Girls Leighton Meester and actress Lindsay Lohan. She waves about it not only for winter dry skin but it’s perfect to rehydrate with after a long plane ride. Smells great! This is definitely a scourge but well worth it because it uses all organic ingredients, recycled packaging and it’s Paraben and Sulfate free. In addition, it has milk peptides which produces information in the skin and contains honey, fig and liquor skin extract to leave the skin feeling soft and supple.
Best Beauty Tool, eyelash curler by Shu Uemura. This beauty pick comes from makeup artist Barbara Guillaume who has worked with such hot young stars as Blake Lively and Ali Larter. She says it keeps your lashes curled all day. It’s really easy to manipulate and the silicon pad lasts forever. And even if you have to replace the pad, they’ve thought of that too. Barbara is right this is really easy to use and what I like is it puts the bend in just the right place. This is definitely going to make my holiday gift list.
Best in hair, Oscar Blandi’s Pronto Dry Shampoo. This top pick comes from KC. Fee Makeup Pro to such celebrities as Camila Alves and Vee Robert Pattinson. You might be wondering what is a dry shampoo. It’s just like a regular shampoo but because it’s in the powder form, it soaks up all the oil, sweat and builds up in a flash. KC loves it because it’s great for in between lashes. And if you’ve got bangs, she says it keeps them fresh and grease free. With the added lemon verbena, it has a great citrus fresh smell too.
And finally for our editor’s top pick, Cargo’s Mediterranean Nights Palate. Our editor loves it because it’s got a cool design with this great work. It’s a great value, you get four eye shadows, a blush and he bronzer. And the colors are unusual enough that you don’t already own them, but not too crazy that you won’t use them. You’ll get a lot of wear out of them. That’s why it’s Annie’s top pick.
With this Pro picks, you can’t go wrong even if you end up doing a little shopping for yourself. Happy holidays and we’ll see you next time on Bella TV.
