The icon of Lex Luthor has been reimagined countless time since the 1930’s. However one thing has remain the same, he’s always been the arch enemy of Superman. Hi welcome to watchmojo.com. I’m your host Derek Allen and today we’ll be exploring one possible origin of Lex Luthor. There has never been a widely accepted origin for Lex Luthor. We have decided to use the story from 1960’s in adventure comics’ number 271. Moving to Smallville as a teenager, Lex Luthor wasn’t fat a fan of Superman in his younger days as Superboy. Superboy even constructed a laboratory for Lex to encourage his interest in science. However one day a fire broke out in the lab Superboy attempted to put out the flame with his super breath. The experiments Lex was working on were destroyed and Superboy rescue tempt cause chemicals to spill and Lex to go prematurely bald. Claiming Superboy was simply jealous, Lex vowed to revenge on him. At first Lex tried to out shine Superboy with projects aimed to improve life to the residence of Smallville however when they went dangerously off tract and Superboy had to save the day this only angered Lex Luthor more. Convinced Superboy was out to humiliate him, Lex vowed to spend his life proving to the world he was superior for Superboy and later in life Superman. Other imaginations of Lex Luthor threw up to DC time line describe him as a mad scientist or white color criminal and this other imagine Lex rarely has a personal connection with Superman other than a will to just destroy him on his way to take in over the world and universe.
