Alright so this week, I have, as promised, for all you mccann fans out there, a brand new cocktail that I’m calling the maverick. So we start with rocks glass, ice all in the top and I’m gonna add an ounce and a half of maker’s mark bourbon. That will start it. And then about a half ounce of crème de almond, the nice red color we’re looking for. And I’m gonna finish this off with the juice of one half of a fresh lemon. Squeeze that all in there. And we’ll give this a quick roll into my tin and get all the ingredients nice and mixed. And there we have the maverick. Now if you’re really paying attention I know you’re probably be saying but Anthony that’s not a brand new cocktail, that’s basically just a stiletto that you gave a new name to. We’ve been stilettos for years and haven’t really been that crazy about. But what sets this maverick apart is the garnish. Now I searched far and wide for the absolute best choice I could make to garnish this drink. Searched the country coast to coast, top to bottom, and I came up with this Maraschino cherry. Now I know this maraschino cherry may look like about a hundred million other maraschino cherries across the country. And this maraschino cherry probably tastes like a hundred million other maraschino cherries across the country. So what makes this maraschino cherry qualified to garnish this drink?
