To go on your wedding night, it’s called Alexander House Hotel and Utopia Spa here in East Grinstead in a small village in Sussex. We’re about 25 minutes away from Britain, a span hour away from London and we have 38 bedrooms in the hotel and half of them were on the traditional side of the hotel which is really a lovely country house. It’s really great for wedding and then the other half for that contemporary side. Now this was built May 2006 to keep us all massive spa 25 treatments and on the wedding suite.
The hotel with the spa at the 17th century was a private house when it got converted to a hotel. It still really is like an old country house. You walk through the bedrooms. It’s still very similar as you walk around these pictures of how the house used to look. All the book cases, everything what that really gives that kind of old feel that you really get in the house as it used to be. The new bed, it’s very, very sympathetic. You wouldn’t really realize when you actually stepping into it except that you now enter more contemporary.
At the hotel, we have four wedding packages that we offer and each of them is tailored to meet your needs whether you would like a small intimate ceremony for two people or you prefer one of the largest ceremonies about 250 people. So the more traditional wedding ceremonies on the old part of the house can get 40 people and we have two wedding packages that can involved that has not included from anything from your room higher at your five goes wedding breakfast with champagne and kind of paste, your toast your tea, your coffee, your play cards, your menu, everything included like that.
And then we have the larger wedding receptions on a new part of the building. The wedding package there can include your disco. It can include your overnight accommodation again in the bridal suite where we’re sitting now. You can have complimentary spa if your guests come and use the spa. The perfect thing that we offer is for the bride-to-be to come into fold with her mama, with her friends and stay at the salon unless they pamper you. So we have a hair salon. We’ve got a nail salon. We’ve got pedicures and manicures, a range of therapists just waiting to get the hands on you. We offer so many treatments. It’s unbelievable. You could spend three weeks here before your wedding just being pampered.
On the morning of the wedding, we’ve got hairdressers that can come up to your room or you can come down to a hair salon and have your hair done. But the hotel is really flexible to your needs whatever. We have so many deep regard and say that you can use when you’re right from your ceremony or from your church or whether you get married here. You then have sort of one hour and an hour and a half gap before you have your wedding breakfast. You don’t say, “Oh, I don’t have time to have photographs, champagne, kind of paste, etcetera.
So we have a range of different norms available for that. We have one on the traditional south of the property right next to where you could have your wedding ceremonies. It’s absolutely perfect shots and great wedding shows. The photographer can wonder around. It’s completely up to you where you go. We would just tailor it to your needs. You also have the ironic exclusive wedding garden in the Shelly suite with doors leading right out from where you eat your meal to where the garden is. We have that resident peacocks on site to entertain you. We have that beautiful pool. We have an outside hot topics etcetera. Everything is out there, again, with photographs to make it special for you.
At Alexander House Hotel, we are very lucky that we do have East Grinstead branch etcetera. It’s very nearby and within nature. We have a team of people waiting to help with your wedding site whether you need your cake, whether you need your flowers, your wedding dress, some extra place cost. We want a VTR of the day whatever it is, we can organize it for you with my great relationship with play nearby and they are all local so they will know the hotel really well. They know everyone of us and they will know you.
When you are looking for a dish for your wedding menu, the best thing to do and it’s what we offer here at the hotel is yourself and some of your friends and families to come in for a menu tasting. When you’re coming, you’ll meet with our head chef, have a glossy champagne in the lounge, go through and we will serve your wedding breakfast to you as if it would be your wedding day. You would choose some different dishes then it’s up to you. You pick and choose. You try your boyfriends, try whatever. All head chef will then sit down with you, of course and discuss absolutely everything, what you like, what you didn’t like. He has obviously done quite a few weddings here before so he knows exactly what will work and what won’t work.
We have had a few famous guests staying Alexander House Hotel. John Travolta being one of them staying in this exact bed only a couple of months ago and we are in toll for a few more celebrities to these and weddings here.
The best advice I will give you for booking your wedding is to book well in advance and then we all ride lucky that we’re very, very popular wedding venue. And we ought you know we are nearly fully booked now for 2008. We’re getting there to 2009. If you do want pick your wedding on Alexander House, I would advice that you get in that quick.
