Audra Lowe: Well, ladies high fashion isn’t just for the skinny, minis anymore, leading brands like Lane Bryant, Catherines and Fashion Bug are expanding their fashionable collections to all the plus-size women out there.

Beauty and style expert Lee Stevenson is here. She’s going to give us the ditch on what these brands have to offer women, especially for this winter. Good to have you here, Lee.

Lee Stevenson: Good morning.

Audra Lower: A lot of good options out there and a lot of changes in the plus-size market, right?

Lee Stevenson: There really are. The average woman is a size 14 but when we look at a lot of the programs and the magazines, we’re always seeing size twos and size fours but that is not the average woman and we need to see a better representation of fashionable options for these women which these stores are offering now.

Audra Lower: That’s what a lot women complain about is like you know we could find the clothes but they don’t necessarily look [Voice Overlap]

Lee Stevenson: No. They’re boxy, they’re unflattering and just because you’re plus, it doesn’t mean you lack shape.

Audra Lower: Exactly.

Lee Stevenson: So, we’ve got some great looks from all of these brands.

Audra Lower: Okay.

Lee Stevenson: We’re going to check out today for winter and holiday.

Audra Lower: And the first two models are showing us the funky look. Tell us what we’re looking at here.

Lee Stevenson: Well, the first look is from Fashion Bug. Fashion Bug is great. This look on Michelle is our Sparkly Tank which is $24.99 and the Ponte removable Stirrup Leggings which is $24.99 and then she’s got a great jacket which is called their Moto Jacket which is $39.99.

And again, it’s affordable. She looks great. It looks expensive but it’s not really expensive which is always a bonus, right?

Audra Lower: Right.

Lee Stevenson: And she can get this whole look from Fashion Bug. Even the boot she is wearing, it’s from Fashion Bug.

Audra Lower: Okay and the second model have clothing from Lane Bryant.

Lee Stevenson: Lane Bryant, a definitely a go-to. She’s wearing the Velvet Blazer which is $89.50. So, a little bit pricier. The Bow Front Bustier which retails for about $54.50 and their Right Fit simply straight denim which is $49.50 and if you remember, Right Fit was voted the best denim for plus by Glamour Magazine.

Audra Lower: I did see that, yes. Congratulations to you. Okay, our next look is going to be the travel look and we had the clothing from Lane Bryant.

Lee Stevenson: We do because you know it’s Holiday season, so we’re all hopping on planes or in cars. This is from their Passport Collection which is a Wrinkle Free Collection which is awesome. This is their great Ponte Jacket which retails for about $50.00, their gray and Black Ponte Knit Pencil Skirt which is $49.50, a solid tight which is about $20.00 and the Lace Trim Cami which is $24.50.

Audra Lower: Very hot. I like that.

Lee Stevenson: Very hot.

Audra Lower: And speaking of hot, you got the look good when you’re going out for the evening. So, evening wear is also a big issue in terms of trying to find really nice looking clothes.

Lee Stevenson: Absolutely and it’s holiday time, so I’ll go into office, parties or friends or having get-togethers. Our first model is wearing again from Lane Bryant, their Jacquard Sheath dress and that retails for $89.50 and again, black is very sliming no matter your shape. And then our second look is the Fashion Bug Ruffle Sequence Dress and the ruffle kinds of add some illusion. So, you don’t really see a lot of pulling if you’ve got a little bit extra in the mid [Inaudible] whatnot and that retails for about $50.00

Audra Lower: I love the fact that everything is so affordable. It’s not expensive.

Lee Stevenson: It really is.

Audra Lower: Okay. The last but not least, we’ve got two models that are going to be showing us the holiday look because again, more parties are coming up, you got to find different outfits.

Lee Stevenson: Yes. So, our first look is from Catherines and she’s wearing their Day To Night Boucle Topper, $76.00 and their Day to Night Pant which is $48.00 and again, another myth is that, when you’re plus, you can’t wear white. She looks amazing.

Audra Lower: Yes, she does.

Lee Stevenson: Put a little pop of color underneath, add a pop of color in her shoe, she looks great.

Audra Lower: Forget the rules. Breaking all the rules.

Lee Stevenson: Yeah, you do what looks good.

Audra Lower: Right.

Lee Stevenson: And then for the second look, she’s wearing the Celebration Cardigan and Shell, also from Catherines which is $48.00 for the Cardiga, $38.00 for the Shell and their Right Fit Career Pant which is $48.00. And she again, she’s a plus sized woman but she’s wearing lighter colors and she can do that. She looks great.
