Urartu civilization commonly called Killans. This flourished in one particular area
Kavat, Baki explains how he got started in the business.
Baki: I have been doing this job for nearly 14 years. The women in this area have been
practicing this craft for years. These fun Killans are a hand craft that came down
from the Uratuism civilization.
Female: To see the intricate knots being woven into the multi pattern carpets, Baki weaves
a few colorful rose on his loop.
Baki: You can do this Killans in any form and measurement desired. These are usually
done in different colors, you get these knots and put them through those lines.
And begun you put them from bottom to top. It is possible to complete one square
meter Killan in ten days. It also depends on shapes. In fact if the shapes are big it
will actually take less time to complete but if the shape is small it takes more time
to complete.
