It is important to differentiate between this Minor scale and a Dorian Minor. Remember, the Dorian scale has a major six, this one has a minor or flat sixth.
In classical music, there at least the Aeolian mode is almost, always used for writing in a Minor key.
In Jazz, the Dorian mode is used far more often. Couple of examples of the Aeolian mode in Jazz would be the bridge to milestones, the new milestones.
The bridge to an artist and there is a Chikorita tune called Sea Journey from the 1970’s that uses a lot of natural Minor.
