Back in the 1950s, many thought the future would bring nuclear warfare. Others thought the future would bring an unusual amount of yellow to our homes. This shot from the 1956 Ideal Home Show in Olympia, London, shows the latter train of thought with the below "home of the future." This was, of course, when the exhibitors weren't theorizing about what the '80s would look like.
