Hello again, I’m Rodney Reynolds from 3Dgameman.com. This next question is what the difference between active cooling and passive cooling is and which one is best? Active cooling basically means that you have a heat sink as well as a fan; passive cooling means that you just have the heat sink and you do not have the fan.

Which one is best? Well performance wise active cooling is best because it has the fan to dissipate the heat very quickly from the heat sink but in some applications passive cooling would be better because it would be quieter and again if that’s required then go with passive cooling but if you’re leaving in a hot environment and/or your over clocking, definitely go with active cooling. If you want to build a very quiet computer system, that’s not over clocked then go with passive cooling.
