essica Shackil has an amazing story of survival to tell her third graders about Monday morning.
The 27-year-old teacher
was taking a nap late Saturday afternoon in her Montville home, when powerful winds from a storm rolling through the area, tore apart a huge tree outside her bedroom.
She ran through the house to make sure everyone else was safe, then returned to her bedroom where she heard water dripping. She turned the lights on, looked up, and saw a branch that went through her ceiling.
