Billy Parisi: Thanks for stopping by FixMyRecipe.com. I’m Chef Billy Parisi and our new fix goes to Brandi of Saint Louis, Missouri. She submitted a recipe fix for grill shrimp seasoning; her ingredients don’t match up with the flavor cheese looking for down Brandi. You got a column right here.
Brandi you asked for Tangy, Zesty, and Spicy, we got a new couple of things here. We’re going to make a dry seasoning and marinade for this. Our marinade includes lime juice, cilantro, some green onions, shallots, garlic, ginger and a little more zeitness and tanginess, little more extra lime rind there. Brandi we’re going to finish this marinade by whisking in some olive oil.
Al right, Brandi now let put our shrimp in our marinated in a refrigerated about 20- 25 minutes so those flavors can infuse in the meantime we’re going to make our dry seasoning. Alright, Brandi the cool thing about making this dry seasoning is, you can put it away in your storage and I don’t know last for ever, you can reuse it as many times as you would like, here is the ingredients.
Alright, Brandi my shrimp is marinated for roughly 20 minutes in the cooler now we’re going to put it on this skewers, be sure to soak them in water so they don’t burn, we’re going to season with our dry seasoning and put them among the grill. Brandi, be sure to use two skewers when doing this, or else your shrimp is going to fall all over to the place. Okay Brandi our shrimp is all seasoned up and looking great let’s get it on the grill. Now we’re shooting this in Chicago and let me tell me something that wind just whips here, and it is brutally cold outside. You said like the GF grill any ways so this is what we are going do, we are going to keep it nice and warm tonight.
Oh my gosh! Brandi, tangy, zesty, and spicy. You get all that zest from the garlic and the ginger, you get the spice from that cayenne and that smoked paprika, and, of course, that lime juice provides all the tang you need. This is incredible!
