So, what can you expect on Sunday? Well, a little bit of everything. Well, there’s the downright silly with a runaway grandpa on a football field for Taco Bell. In the same department, Volkswagen’s Minnesotan white guy with a Jamaican accent. Kia weighs in with an insanely cute ad explaining where babies come from. “They wave goodbye and board these big, shiny rocket ships” There’s the strange, including a Wheat Thins-stealing yeti. And yes, of course, the sexy as Kate Upton spices things up for Mercedes-Benz. You may be wondering why so many ads have “leaked” before the big game. YouTube’s research showed ads before the SuperBowl received an average of 9 million views. Those who waited, just 1.3 million on YouTube -- less than one-sixth. [Source: Mashable ] But it’s the eyes of 110 million viewers who are estimated to tune in for the Super Bowl that has advertisers shelling out the big bucks. And as usual those ads are at a premium. The New York Times reports 30-second spots this year are going for somewhere in the neighborhood of $3.7 to $3.8 million dollars each. That’s up from around $3.5 million last year. Of course, there’s still plenty of spots to be debuted during the game. We’ll see if anyone can beat last year’s fan favorite -- Volkswagen’s Darth Vader. The Super Bowl will feature the Baltimore Ravens against the San Francisco 49ers. It is set to air Sunday February 6th on CBS at 6:30 p.m. eastern.
