Super 8 Trailer - IGN Rewind Theater
Hey, guys Moro on here and I’m providing you with a rewind theater commentary for the new Super 8 teaser trailer.
This hit in front of Iron Man in a couple of weeks back and the big deal about it is that, there was a lot speculation is to what exactly this film was going to be. Lot of folks thought it was going to be a prequel or a sequel to Cloverfield and as it turns out it's neither those things, It’s actually an original film directed by JJ Abrams, produced Steven Spielberg. That kind of image to the Spielberg movies of the 70’s and 80’s that JJ Abrams grew up loving.
So I’m going to take you back you for a second to this shot right here. We see this truck ramps off the road and very specifically drives towards the train to derail it and if we stop right here, we can see that it is indeed being driven by person. So it’s either man or woman specifically driving with the intent of derailing this train. So I’m theorizing that perhaps this person’s being mind controlled into doing this.
We have the train accident and big deal about this is that the train was—as you saw through title treatments, transporting something from Area 51 to Ohio. This crashed happens and as we get to see upfront here, something’s trying to get out of the car here. So what our scoopers have been able to determine is that, the plot is going to revolve around a group of kids shooting a fun movie with super ray film camera and they accidentally in the background capture either an alien or a creature or something. Obviously it’s got to be a thing that’s trying to break out of this truck.
So from there, the plot ensues, we have movie et cetera. Now, I’m going to stop right here and come back. Check that out, a kids face. It should be important to know that this film hasn’t been cast yet, it hasn’t even actually been shot, and it doesn’t start until the fall start production till the fall. So we have no idea who this kid is. Also important here, if you scroll through there very slowly, you’ll some words appear. Scariest thing I ever saw.
So if you go back to your web browser, and type scariestthingieversaw.com, you’ll be talking to a site that’s actually the star of an ARG. Paramount is releasing the film has this big year long game plan to slowly but surely build buzz and reveal information surrounding the film through that site. And as we find more info out will be sure to pass it along to you.
